Karakou

Karakou has since its origin in Uppsala in 2010 established itself in Swedish indie rock with a blend of pop and indie rock. The band, including cousins Järpehag, guitarists Joel Sörsäter and Daniel Nikula, as well as drummer Aron Sörsäter, has moved audiences with their music. Their 2017 EP Golvet i köket and 2019 single Nästan ingenting, with Nadja Evelina, cemented their status. The album Via Dolorosa from 2022 solidified their place in Swedish music history. In 2023 the band continues to impress with Droger och musik, a tribute to the power of music, which is released on September 29. They celebrate with a concert at Katalin in Uppsala the same day. Karakou, known for its unique sound and gripping lyrics, is a leading force in Swedish indie rock.
