Axel Wikner

Axel Wikner: From Viral Success to Next Hit

Electronic

Axel Wikner quickly became a name on the Swedish music scene when his viral hit Det draaar exploded in the summer of 2015. The song, inspired by the comedy series Morran och Tobias, became one of the year's biggest summer hits and topped the Spotify charts, where it was streamed up to a quarter million times per day. At just 18 years old, Axel performed at Allstar in Gävle, and his success with Det draaar opened doors for his next project. Now he is making headlines with his new single Hold on, which is released on Friday. In a Facebook post, Axel joked about having made a real song this time. Hold on was written by Axel Wikner, Pontus Frisk, D.a.i.f., and Niclas Lundin, where Lundin – who also sings on the track – is known for having written hits such as Martin Garrix & MOTi's Virus (How About Now) and Scooter's King Of The Land. With this new single, Axel aims to solidify his position as one of Sweden's most promising young artists.
